Meeting of the Budapest Platform in Strasbourg

The Budapest Platform held its next meeting connected to the General Assembly meeting of Mission Opérationnelle Transfrontalière (MOT). An agreement on cross-border programming was made on the meeting organised in Strasbourg.

The meeting of the Budapest Platform was held on 24th April with the participation of the representatives of the French MOT, the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and the German IMEG. The participants reported on their past and future activity in the framework of a table-talk.
Following this they reviewed the opportunities of the common performance and appearance. According to the proposal of Jean Peyrony director (MOT) the participants accepted that Budapest Platform organizes a seminar in Bruxelles, before the summer season. The goal of the seminar is to draw the attention to the significance of the cross-border programmes, which must be involved in the Partnership Contracts under preparation. According to the plans the seminar will be held at the end of June, in the building of the Benelux cooperation.
Tom Leeuwstein, on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Interior Relations made a proposal on the creation of a midlle-term European Union strategy of cross-border developments. Gyula Ocskay (CESCI) urged the joint action on the question of integrated territorial investments and thematic concentration. The participants welcomed both proposals.
